Jean-Louis Guinchard is the Managing Principal of RCX Capital Group and has over 25 years of investment banking, merchant banking and private equity experience. Mr. Guinchard is also a founding partner of O&A Real Estate Development Partners, a private equity real estate investment company sponsored by O’Connor Capital Partners and the Ahumada family, the founding and principal shareholders of Consorcio ARA, the leading affordable entry level housing developer in Mexico and Latin America. Previous to this, he served as the Co-Head of Latin American Investment, Corporate and Merchant Banking of Banc of America Securities (BAS) and President of the Board of Bank of America Mexico where he was responsible for managing over $18 billion in assets and over 800 people in seven countries and head of the Family Wealth Advisor platform at Bank of America for Southern California and Latin America. Before joining BAS in 1998, Mr. Guinchard spent over twelve years at Salomon Brothers and Goldman Sachs within the corporate finance, M&A and private investment groups.
Mr. Guinchard received his bachelor and bachelor of business degrees in Honors Economics (Plan II) and Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and his M.B.A. from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Mr. Guinchard was a member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO) for many years and is active on many public and private company and charitable boards. Mr. Guinchard is actively involved in several industry affiliations and speaks regularly at a variety of real estate industry and family office conferences and events.
David Hurt, Senior Vice President, has been a major force behind RCX’s agriculture practice for the past four years. A third generation farmer, David’s background is rooted in agriculture. He began his career with a major domestic and export grain company at the Kansas City Board of trade before heading to Wall Street. With over 35 years of experience in the financial services industry, he brings a broad depth of knowledge and experience to the firm’s clients. Prior to RCX, David was the Associate Director of Alternative Investments with Morgan Keegan & Company, LLC, which was purchased by Raymond James Financial, where he worked for over 18 years. He also worked as a Commodity Futures & Managed Money Specialist at Prudential Securities Incorporated. David attended Louisiana State University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Memphis. David and his wife, Rebecca, reside in Eads, Tennessee, where their interests evolve around their small farm, big fishing and their church.
Craig Fernsler, 1031 Exchange/DST representative, has specialized in commercial and investment properties for over 28 years. He has extensive experience in land development, acquisitions and 1031 exchanges and provides the firm’s clients with fee simple and DST analysis and alternatives for 1031 exchanges. Mr. Fernsler holds a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation and currently serves on the CCIM National Government Affairs Committee. He is also on the 2018 National Association of Realtors Public Policy Committee and the 2018 Pennsylvania Association of Realtors Board of Directors. He is a commercial broker with Keller Williams.
Craig is very active in various charities including, among others, the Boys and Girls Club of Philadelphia and One House at a Time and is a 30+ year Mason and active in his church. Craig enjoys golf, scuba diving (his entire family is certified), coaching little league, scouting, and traveling.
Paul Grumann is an 18-year veteran of the financial services industry and currently serves as Managing Director for RCX Capital Group, LLC (RCX).
Prior to joining RCX, Mr. Grumann held several positions throughout his career at NorthStar Securities, LLC (NorthStar). NorthStar is the broker-dealer affiliate of Colony Northstar, Inc. a publicly traded REIT that has over $40 billion in assets under management. Mr. Grumann most recently held the role of senior vice president and director of account management for NorthStar where he oversaw the efforts of the strategic accounts team and was responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to expand distribution and strengthen NorthStar’s broker-dealer relationships. Other positions held at NorthStar include vice president of strategic accounts and vice president of internal sales.
Before joining NorthStar, Mr. Grumann served as regional vice president for Dividend Capital Securities where he was responsible for marketing both their non-traded real estate investment trust (REIT) products and 1031 exchange platform.
Mr. Grumann received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Colorado with an emphasis in Accounting. He currently holds his Series 7, 66 and 24 securities registrations with RCX. Mr. Grumann previously served on the board of “Robbies Friends,” a charity that assisted families that had children with cancer. Mr. Grumann enjoys taking advantage of all Colorado has to offer, Camping, skiing, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, tennis.
R. John Wilcox II
Mr. Wilcox’s focus is developing and operationalizing the 1031 Exchange Hub, a cloud-based solution offering educational and transactional capabilities for RCX Capital's wealth advisor partners and their clients.
Throughout his career, Mr. Wilcox has created innovative solutions for clients and the industry through the intersection of real estate capital markets and technology. He has overseen the creation of multiple products serving the CRE space and executed over $11 billion of commercial real estate transactions, including: property and portfolio financings, sales, note sales, equity raises, venture formations, restructuring and advisory assignments involving all major property types in the United States, South America and Europe.
Prior to his position with RCX Capital Group, and RealConnex, John served as Managing Director and head of Ten-X Finance (formerly Auction.com). The finance business was established to place mortgages and equity for buyers of property transacting on the Ten-X platform. The group also provided note sales services. Previously, John was Vice President of Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation (MMCC), where he oversaw the firm’s East Coast mortgage business. He was responsible for loan origination teams and their support in 14 offices stretching from Boston to Miami. Mr. Wilcox recruited, trained and advised loan originators, oversaw technology initiatives and operations as well as spearheaded lender relations. Prior to his position with MMCC, Mr. Wilcox was Managing Director and head of capital markets group for Savills, where he was responsible for integrated real estate finance transaction and advisory services, including debt and equity capital raises, cross-border equity raises, note sales and restructuring advisory services. While with Savills, Mr. Wilcox sourced and oversaw the execution of over $2 billion of debt and equity in the form of senior and mezzanine debt, preferred equity and joint venture equity for acquisition and recapitalization of development and income producing for office, retail, multifamily and hospitality properties and portfolios. He was also senior vice president of DTZ Rockwood and one of the two founders of that firm’s financial services group.
Mr. Wilcox has an M.B.A. from Columbia University’s School of Business and a B.S. from Syracuse University. He earned the Certified Turnaround Professional designation from the Turnaround Management Association, is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, the International Council of Shopping Centers and is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in New York State.
Ms. Guinchard is a principal of RCX Capital Group, LLC where she manages the firm’s 1031 Exchange/DST platform. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Guinchard was the co-owner and principal of ULI Corp, which created the first inflatable stand-up paddleboard. Ms. Guinchard has over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry. Formerly, she was a senior consultant in the Valuation Services Group of Ernst & Young. Prior to that, she worked as an associate in Corporate Finance for Prudential Bache Capital Funding. Ms. Guinchard started her career in Corporate Finance/M&A at Morgan Stanley. She also co-owned and managed JAJC Partners, a real estate partnership. Ms. Guinchard graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.B.A. in Finance and International Business. She is and has been engaged in multiple philanthropic activities including Fundacion Para Apoyar Los Infantiles (Save the Children - Mexico), Casa de Amistad and San Pasqual Academy and has served as a board member for various community organizations.
Melinda "Mimi" LeGaye is RCX Capital Group's FINOP. Mimi is also president of MGL Consulting LLC, founded the firm in 1984. Her responsibilities include consulting with clients regarding capital structures of broker/dealer and investment advisors, registration of their firms with FINRA, SEC, NFA, CFTC and various state agencies as broker/dealers and investment advisors. She works with clients to structure and document their supervisory systems and procedures to comply with regulatory requirements.
Ms. LeGaye works with FINRA staff members in various Districts to review, negotiate and modify firm’s Membership Agreements to properly address and or expand the business scope of our clients. She has extensive experience consulting with clients and their legal counsel to determine strategies for handling SEC, FINRA, and State regulatory enforcement investigations and actions, as well as negotiating settlements with FINRA Offices relating to proposed sanctions and disciplinary actions. Ms. LeGaye also provides litigation support in the form of strategic consulting and expert witness testimony.
Ms. LeGaye holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Sam Houston State University. She holds the General Securities Principal, General Securities Representative, Financial and Operations Principal, the Municipal Securities Principal, Investment Banking Representative, Direct Participation Program Principal, Direct Participation Program Representative, and the Uniform State Agent Law Examination registrations with FINRA and the Texas State Securities Board. She has served as a member of the National Association of Compliance Professionals and the International Association of Financial Planners.
Michelle is based in Los Angeles and has over 20 years experience in real estate working with fund managers, public and private REITs, operators and institutional investors. Prior to forming CrossCon, she was head of capital raising for the Macquarie Real Estate Group. Michelle has been a Managing Director at Bear Stearns where she led origination, due diligence and capital raising efforts for third party real estate managers. She launched her career with Kenneth Leventhal in 1991, and has held senior positions at SL Green Realty as Head of Investor Relations, Citigroup Property Investors where she assisted in launching one of the first real estate fund of funds and Ernst and Young where she co-developed the Private Equity Real Estate Funds consulting group. Michelle holds FINRA Series 7, 22, and 63 registrations.
